Doctor

  • Dr. Jacquie Pankatz , B.Sc., DVM


    Dr. Jacquie Pankatz was born and raised in Collingwood, Ontario. She attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for three years where she went on to complete her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph. Upon completion of her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, she was employed in a small animal veterinary practice. In 2000, Dr. Pankatz opened Harbourview Veterinary Hospital in Collingwood. In 2001, Dr. Pankatz was presented with the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce. In the fall of 2006, plans for expansion of her veterinary hospital were instituted and in July 2007, Mountain Vista Veterinary opened its doors. Dr. Pankatz lives with her spouse, Chris, their two young sons Jack and Joshua, and two Labrador Retrievers, George and Hiliary.

  • Dr. Michelle Kinoshita , DVM,CVA


    Dr. Michelle Kinoshita graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1990. She practiced small animal veterinary medicine and surgery in Toronto until moving to the Collingwood area in 2007. In 2005, she opened a veterinary holistic house call practice in Toronto. Her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture was received in 2006. She continues to pursue further education in conventional medicine and surgery, as well as Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and other forms of Natural Medicine (including nutrition, homotoxicology/homeopathy, herbology). Dr. Kinoshita joins the Mountain Vista Veterinary team as a holistic practioner. She is available for holistic consultations on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Based on the medical and behavioural history and examination of your pet, she will formulate a treatment plan using primarily natural remedies. When away from the clinic, Dr. Kinoshita enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband, daughter and her cat.Vetsuite_Img_42457

  • Dr. Keith Elliot


    Dr. Keith Elliot brings over 39 years of clinical small animal practice to our hospital. After selling his shares in two small animal hospitals, Dr. Elliot has moved to our area to be closer to children and grandchildren. Technician

  • Alanna , RVT


    Alanna is our Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and a graduate of St. Lawrence College in Kingston. What is an RVT? As part of the veterinary professional team, RVTs perform a wide range of nursing, imaging, anesthesia monitoring, dental hygiene, and diagnostic laboratory procedures in the hospital. Careers in the credentialed veterinary technician field require maintaining continuing education credits. As part of our practice philosophy, Alanna is dedicated to continuing education through attending conferences and lectures to better her skills and knowledge. Alanna is a Meaford native and lives with her rescued Amercian Eskimo Dog, Giz. She has also been known to take home a few humane society creatures from time to time to foster including cats and rabbits.

Assistants

  • Angie


    Angie has been working in the veterinary field for over the past 16 years. You will often meet Angie assisting our clients and helping the doctor with  patient procedures. Angie lives in Wasaga Beach. She has three cats, O'Malley, Emmy and Checkers. She also has two small dogs, Sophie and Annie, both rescued from the Boston Terrier Rescue. All of her pets are a very big part of her family.

Reception

  • Marie


    Marie has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years. Marie is often busy booking appointments, dealing with client inquiries, checking our patients in and out of the hospital as well as keeping our bookwork up to date. Marie lives in Collingwood and has four very spoiled cats, Puff, Princess, Smokey and Noel.

Kennel

  • Ashlee


    Ashlee is our kennel manager and is dedicated to keeping our boarding guests comfortable and happy. Ashlee also performs multiple tasks including reception, assisting our veterinarian and patient care. Ashlee lives with Sandie a Labrador Retriever cross, and two cats Auzzie and Bud.

  • "Pooh" , Graduate of "Lazy U"


    Our "Walmart" greeter and clown of the hospital, Pooh is our  resident cat. Originally brought in as a very sick little kitten, "Pooh" has blossomed into a mischievous feline and is often  seen strutting her stuff around the hospital.
